Carnivals this week

Date July 4, 2007

We participated in 3 carnivals this week, and here are some of the articles I enjoyed.

107th Carnival of Personal Finance

Lessons From My Daughter?s First Job ? A Dream, A Dollar and A Dog - Cute story. I’ll keep this in mind when my son starts asking for a dog.

$10,000 Lesson On Variable Universal Life (VUL) - This is similar to my own story with my life insurance.

Our Agent: Doing the Right Thing - Finding the right agent is important. When I bought my place 4 years ago, my agent really fought for me. She even advised me to buy a cheaper place. After the whole transaction, she gave me a $500 house warming gift.

Festival of Frugality #81

Frugality is more than just saving money - I’ve been thinking of writing a post on a similar topic. Being frugal is not just about trying to save every possible penny. It’s about not wasting things. I’ll probably write something on this in the future.

Free (And Useful) Tools! - Who doesn’t like free stuff? And useful too. Well, I didn’t think the free envelopes were that useful, but I’ve mentioned Numbr.com before and I liked the other tips.

The Carnival of Family Life

I’m becoming really obsessed with money. Especially after I started following and writing my own blog on money. So this carnival is a great getaway for me.

Average IQ Score Determined by Birth Order? I think he read the same article as I did :)
Who’s mothering who? - Another cute story.

Stuck in Traffic - Unlike Kailani, I’ve grown apart from my brother. I always wonder if my parents could’ve done something when we were younger to have prevented this. And I’m always wondering if I’ll know what to do if my kids start doing the same thing.

Five For Friday - Super Surfing for Kids - good timing. I’ve been looking for some games for my kid.
